Champaign Movie Makers
Champaign Movie makers is a club started by Johnny Robinson in Champaign Urbana Illinois in June of 2008.
It is a group for filmmakers of all levels of expertise who want to make their own own independent movies of any length. CMM is a forum for self expression and self education where trusted working relationships can be nurtured between scriptwriters, actors, directors and filmmaking crews. The group meets every month.
By winter of 2010 CMM numbered over 100 members and became a significant support resource for local feature films and shorts, including Celeste Above and Quaint. This film was a group shoot written and produced by Johnny Robinson. CMM meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month in various locations. CMM holds workshops, script readings, screenings and an annual party, the first of which was at Sleepy Creek Vineyard on August 22 2009.
CMM currently utilizes a Yahoo group site.
