In my career, I have migrated from illustration to cartoon & stop motion animation and then on to live action video.
This has produced a very broad range of skills.
Figurative illustrator, painter, sculptor. Professional storyboard character design and layout and animator in cartoon and
stop motion mediums. Significant hands-on experience in all phases of live action video production including documentary
and fiction. Scriptwriting, pre-production, casting and directing actors. Professionally experienced editor.
Significant knowledge and skills with miniature set, and puppet design and construction. Pioneer in the development of digital
stop motion photography.
Started Champaign Movie Makers in the summer of 2007; an orginization of independant filmmakers in Champaign Illinois.

2007 - The Heart Of Tango
20 minute original scripted documentary / art film about the nature of argentine tango. Featuring world class tango performers
Collete Herbet & Richard Council and original music score by esteemed classical cellist Diego Garcia and Quartsamble.
Tight cinematography scrutinizes tango like a science film. This rich imagery is contrasted against a poetic voice over.
Screened at 7 tango festivals including Celebrate Tango in new York City in 2007 and the Magic Lantern Film Festival in 2007.
2006 Dr. Zond Controls the Weather
9 minute original stop motion animated film. Screened at The Little Theater’s Emerging artist series march 27, 2006
and the ASAIFA East in New York City - May 7, 2006. World Wide Short Film Festival in Toronto Canada June, 2005.
2005 Visual Lyrics 40 minute in depth documentary (containing 30% footage from previous
film). 3 public screenings in Rochester. Screened in the Orinda Film Festival in Orinda California in september 23 2005.

2004 Visual Lyrics Falcon Ridge 40 minute performance film of sign language
interpreters on stage with performers. This film has enjoyed 4 years of sales in DVD form at music festivals and through
internet sales.
2001 Contracted to make 30 second animated television spot for RIT ‘s continuing education.
Completed spot titled Search that was aired for 2 years.

Qualifications for Teaching
Teaching experience has extended from 1992 until 2009, full time since 1999. Served as the chair of animation for 3 years. Subjects included drawn animation, stop motion,
2-D computer, production workshops, preproduction, classes including critical study of films.

ROCHESTER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, 1998 - 2009
Full time Visiting Associate Professor for 10 years in the School of Film & Animation. Served as chair of animation 2001- 2004. I had a significant impact on the school of film & animation though curriculum development, the deisgn of the new animation center and creation of it’s world class stop motion program.
